Logical Math Taught by an Instructor from Four Knights Chess Academy Language: English Quarter 1: Tuesdays 3:10 - 4:10 for grades 3 and 4 This program is focused on finding solutions to non-standard problems of different kinds that develop logic, intelligence and require creative thinking. Kids will be introduced to logic puzzles, brain teasers, single- and multiplayer strategy games. Who we are: Founded by International Chess Grandmaster Leonid Kritz, our program was created with contributions from Harvard and MIT students and alumni, as well as professionals from the world of quantitative finance and trading. Our goal: We want to help students unleash their potential and grow into individuals capable of understanding real world problems, making logical connections between complex issues, and finding efficient solutions; individuals who will drive the progress of the next generations in a highly complicated world full of new technologies. Our approach: We use a combination of logic games and puzzles, brain teasers, questions from IQ tests, and many more to develop the skill we believe is the most important in today’s environment – ability to think outside the box. From simple sudokus to advanced nanograms, from fun single-player puzzles to strategic multiplayer games – the worlds of wild creativity and cold logic combine into a universe where everything becomes possible with a little bit of thought, endurance, and desire to succeed.
