Sewing Class: Project Upcycling (Grades 4-7, Junior Student Life)
Taught by GISB Teacher Erika Holshoe
Language: English
Semester 1: Fridays, 4:00-4:50
Number of sessions: 15
Together with our new GISB art teacher and fabric enthusiast Erika Holshoe we will bring out the sewing machines and learn how to safely use them. In this upcycling challenge, students will carefully select secondhand clothes, develop a plan for transforming them into something new, and then bring their vision to life. At the end of the semester we would like to offer the students the option of a mini fashion show where they can show off their creations.
While the supply free will cover a basic starter set for every participant, we welcome donations of fabric and secondhand clothes (please contact [email protected])
