Description

GISB Kinderchor/ Children's choir

Grades 1 - 3 and K by audition (contact Dunja Pechstein [email protected])

Kinderchor will be taught in German by Dunja Pechstein, founder of Kinderchor Boston (2014-2020). During weekly choir rehearsals, we will focus on developing a healthy singing voice through vocal warm-ups, singing in solfege, and a repertoire that is both fun to sing and helps us grow musically. Performances will be scheduled during the year.
 
(Ms. Pechstein attended her first conducting classes while studying vocal performance in Detmold, Germany. In the US she took conducting workshops with Henry Leck, Founder/Conductor Laureate of the Indianapolis Children's Choir.)
